Our History
Founded in 2023 by automotive industry veterans, Ray Weaver and Bill Muessel, with over 65 years combined experience in the Jeep and off road accessory business. Catamount's mission is to develop unique and practical accessories to improve the comfort, function, and style of your legendary Jeep vehicle. Catamount's accessories-- hardtops, drip rails, and dead pedals are designed and manufactured in the USA. American Made for an American Legend!
Our Team
Bill Muessel is a Notre Dame University educated industrial designer with over 40 years designing and building accessories for Jeeps, trucks, and off road vehicles since founding his first company, Truckmaster Designs, 40 years ago. Bill's design work was integral to Jeep's JK8 project which converted a JKU into a pick-up truck.
Ray Weaver's off roading experiences started in 1985 when he purchased a 1970 International Scout 800a which he drove while earning a Bachelor's degree at Penn State University. Ray's automotive aftermarket career began at Maple Grove Raceway. From NHRA drag racing, Ray started working for Bushwacker, an industry leader in aftermarket fender flares, and Omix-ADA and Rugged Ridge, leaders in the Jeep aftermarket.
